Arizona Snowbowl is just north of Flagstaff on the San Francisco Peaks, home of Humphreys Peak the highest point in Arizona. Arizona Snowbowl has four chairlifts and one tow lift, plus a terrain park for snowboarding. Nine miles past Snowbowl is the nordic center, with over 40 kilometers of groomed trails. Snowbowl offers rentals, ski schools, repair services, children's programs, and is open in summer with their Scenic Skyrides.

Sunrise Park Resort

Sunrise is Arizona's largest ski resort and is just 200 miles north of Phoenix. The resort is on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation east of Pinetop/Lakeside. With an excellent snowboard park, offering a half pipe, wood and metal rails, and radical jumps, and miles of cross country and snowmobile trails, and a 6,000 sq. ft. childcare facility and near by Funland ski and snow sport area, Sunrise is the place for Arizona winter X.

Williams Ski Area

The Williams Ski Area, 30 miles west of Flagstaff. is located off Bill Williams Mtn., just south of Williams . Family owned and oriented, skiing here is not as crowded or hurried as the state's larger resorts. Rentals are available for downhill, cross country, snowboards, tubes and sleds. There is a separate tubing area.

Forest Lakes

Located 36 miles east of Payson on SR 260, the Forest Lakes Touring Center features great cross country skiing atop the Mogollon Rim. The Center maintains 28 kilometers of trails all within a three-hour drive from Phoenix. The Center offers introductory lessons and a ski school for children ages 4-12. Mt. Lemmon Ski Valley

Located just an hour's drive from Tucson, this southernmost ski area in the United States is perched near the summit of Mt. Lemmon at 9,157-feet. Ski runs are usually open from mid-December to early April, depending on winter weather and snowfall. Mt. Lemmon Ski Valley offers ski equipment rentals, instruction, the Iron Door Restaurant, a snack bar, and gift shop. Overnight accomodations are available in the nearby village of Summerhaven. The chair lift is in operation all year round, taking visitors to a high overlook from which they can enjoy views of the Santa Catalinas, the city of Tucson, the San Pedro Valley and the Reef of Rocks.
