Overview: This drive is often done by those hurrying to reach Laughlin or Las Vegas. However, this drive includes the Joshua Forest Scenic Parkways (SR 93), a 55-mile drive from Wickenburg to Wikieup. Home to the Joshua Tree, namesake of a great album by the band U2. While in the area, go to Alamo Lake to fish or camp. 
Time Allowed: Four hours plus (with a few stops).
Rating: Narrow 2-lane road (SR 93), requiring all of your attention. Sparsely populated, very scenic, home to a Joshua Tree forest (one of three in the state).
Camping: Burro Creek Campground and Alamo Lake State Park.
Season: Year-round, best Oct. to April, hot in summer.
