Route: From Phoenix, take Interstate 17 north to Flagstaff. From Flagstaff take SR 180 past Snowbowl to Hart Prairie Road (FR 151). 10-mile loop on dirt road. 
Scenery: Hart Prairie, known for large stands of aspen, is one of the most popular spots to view fall foliage.
Highlights: Great views of the San Francisco Peaks and Humphreys Peak, the highest point in Arizona
Season: Year-round, but check on winter road conditions.
