Directions: Old growth, the North Rim, Kodak moments at Point Sublime.
Directions: From Flagstaff, take 89A north to Jacob Lake (315 miles from Phoenix). Drive south on SR 67 to Grand Canyon National Park (fee required) and continue south 11 miles. After passing Cape Royal Rd., watch for a dirt road on your right to Widforss Hiking Trail.
Ride: Rough, 18 miles on Jeep road (6-8 hrs. RT). Take rain gear for monsoon storms.
Rating: Difficult.
Elevation: 7,500 feet.
Season: May - Oct.
Trip Diration: Recommend three days minimum.
Camping: Overnight camping is allowed (with permit) at the point. The park campground is packed and must be reserved way in advance.
Niceties: Showers, food, gas and meals at North Rim Grand Canyon Lodge.
