Overview: Trail designed for hiking and mountain biking.
Directions: From Sunrise, take FR 113 to Big Lake Recreation Area; the Indian Springs TH and parking is off FR 249E. Ride trail in clockwise direction. 
Drive Time: Allow 5 hrs. from Mesa.
Rating: Moderate.
Elevation: 9,000 ft.
Length: 7.5 miles round-trip.
Seasons: April through November.
Time Allowed: A good weekend trip. The drive is scenic, photogenic and worth it.
Camping: Big Lake Recreation Area, camping, picnicking, boating, fishing; trailers, motorhomes welcome.
Camping Fee: Yes, call for rates.
Niceties: Gas, food, lodging, and more in Hon Dah, Sunrise, Show Low & Lakeside, Springerville and Eagar.
