Hawes Loop trail
Location: East side of Bush Hwy. just north of Granite Reef.
Overview: A popular trail system, with small parking area on west side of Power Road, at Granite Reef Recreation Area (fee), or along the shoulder of Bush Hwy. past Granite Reef.
Trailheads: Just past small parking area on east side of Power Road, or north side of Bush Hwy., north of Granite Reef Recreation Area near Mine TR.
Trail: Narrow, single-track.
Length: Optional.
Rating: Moderate to Difficult
Route: Optional. Recommend you run Mine Trail counterclockwise (descending).
Complete loop: 1-3 hours.
Season: Year-round, but can be quite hot in summer.
Scenery: Scenic desert. Mine Trail is the highest point with great views of 4 Peaks, Red Mt. & Salt River.
