Overview: Scenic overlook of Sedona’s famed red-rock country and the wilds of Oak Creek.
Description: Take I-17 north to SR 179, go to Sedona and SR 89A, go north on SR 89A to FR 535. Take FR 535 west (2WD OK) to the junction with 535A; park, then ride 4 miles on FR 535A to the point. Or, park at the second viewpoint, do a shorter ride and take pictures galore! 
Ride: Intermediate, quiet, dirt forest road, easy in and easy out.
Rating: Family fun, but watch for cars.
Elevation: 7,300 feet.
Seasons: Year-round, best spring through fall.
Time Allowed: A full day. The drive is scenic, photogenic and worth it.
Camping: Dispersed camping at Harding Point.
Niceties: Spend the night in Sedona or at a B&B or hotel in Flagstaff, which is only 12 miles away.
Remember: Pack out what you take in.
