Directions: Take State Route 60 (Superstition Frwy.) east past Gold Canyon, Florence Jucntion and the Queen Valley Road turn-off, to junction with Forest Road (FR) 357 (just south of the Thombson Arboretum), park along FR 357. Or take the Queen Valley turn-off to FR 357 and park at the junction with FR 172.
Route:Take FR 357 north to junction with FR 172. Take FR 172 north (right) to FR 172A toward Rogers Trough Trailhead. Go south (right) on FR 650 until your reach FR 8 and return to your auto.
Scenery: Great views at the top near Rogers Trough TH. Get ready for much of the same on the way back. The switchbacks are real bike breakers.
Ride: Hard day ride.
Length: 30 miles (unofficial)
Season: Best October to May, summer is very hot always check conditions.
