Willow Springs Lake
Overview: Scenic 150-acre trout lake in the tall ponderosa pines in Mogollon Rim country. A great place to fish and picnic with friends and family.
Directions: From Payson, take SR 260 east to top of the Mogollon Rim and watch for signs. High-clearance vehicle not required.
Drive Time: Approximately 2 hours from Phoenix.
Elevation: 7,600 feet.
Rating: Popular in summer months.
Season: April - Nov. Access road not cleared during winter months.
Camping: No overnight camping along Willow Springs Lake. Dispersed camping allowed in forest where permitted.
Boats: Motors limited to 8 horse-power only. During summer months thunderstorms are frequent. Lightning is a danger at this time. Get off the lake immediately.
