Overview: Spectacular place. Backpack trek to one of the largest (160 rooms) and best-preserved Anasazi cliff dwellings in Arizona.
Length: 14 miles. 
Rating: Backcountry hazards, steep switchbacks, experienced and fit hikers only.
Directions: 6-hr. drive. From Phoenix, take I-17 north to Flagstaff, then US 89 to US 160; go west to SR 564.
Season: Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Permits: Yes, contact 60 days in advance for reservation.
Camping: 31 small sites, tables, restrooms, water, no open fires, cookstoves only, no hook-ups.
